1970 Chevelle

This build began in the early 1990s with the Monogram 'Heavy Chevy' 3n1 kit.  As a kid, I didn't have much interest in classics and spent more time building then-current annual kits.  The body was sprayed, and otherwise it sat untouched in the box for almost two decades.  Finally got around to completing it, although over the years some pieces were lost.. the decals, too, were badly damaged.  While checking the original factory Chevelle brochure for reference photos, I came across an available option - stripe delete - and it was available on SS cars ordered by dealers and customers.  That worked out well, given the condition of the kit's decals, and it became a 'factory stripe delete' build.  It was built stock with only basic engine detail.  The interior got more attention as did the exterior trim.
